Black chai leaf Tea, Pure high grown blended with an exotic spice mix of cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves & ginger. When brewed this full bodied tea produces a spicy aromatic flavour. Enjoy black or with milk and sugar.

With a few exceptions, the base of chai is a black tea. There are many variations of black tea, but Assam is the most commonly used, as it has a strong, full-bodied flavor.

Black Chai Leaf Tea can include a number of different spices. Cardamom is the most common ingredient, followed by some mixture of cinnamon, ginger, star anise and cloves.

For a more traditional chai tea: Place the chai in a saucepan and add a combination of milk and water. Bring gently to the boil, then simmer for 8-10 minutes. Add honey or sugar to sweeten, if desired. Strain into a cup.

Tip: Enjoy a unique flavour when made with soy or rice milk.

 Brewing Advice;

  • Use 1 - 2 teaspoons of tea per person
  • Steep for 3 - 5 minutes
  • Water temperature 100 degrees C
  • Store in a cool dry place, away from the light
